Part Time or Full Time - Any experience level considered
DVM or equivalent
Are you passionate about saving lives?! Since 2010 we have performed almost 35,000 spays and neuters, preventing thousands of unwanted litters in Gwinnett and surrounding counties. Our rescue division also adopts out 700+ pets a year that have been saved from Georgia shelters. We need your skills to help us continue our mission!
We are looking for a veterinarian (either one full time or two part time) to join our expanding medical team. The selected candidate will need to be proficient in surgery (spay/neuter mostly, but we do some other procedures for our rescue animals) as well as medicine. Shelter medicine interest/experience is a plus, as a large portion of the job will be working with animals in our rescue program to provide both routine care as well as treating illnesses. High volume spay/neuter experience is not a requirement--you do not have to walk in the door being able to do 30 surgeries a day. You must have a positive attitude, an excellent work ethic, be detail oriented, and be committed to the importance of spay/neuter. You should also be able to provide excellent customer service and be willing to go the extra mile to provide quality care to as many pets as possible.
Planned PEThood offers an attractive work schedule (Monday-Thursday plus 2 half Saturdays per month), competitive salary and benefits package, and the chance to make a real difference for Georgia’s pets. Please send resume with cover letter and salary requirements to firstname.lastname@example.org. No phone calls, please.
Planned PEThood believes that affordable, accessible spay/neuter is the key to solving the homeless pet crisis. In addition to our high-volume, high-quality surgery clinic, we offer low-cost vaccination clinics to the public. We also rescue/adopt pets through our network of foster homes.
