Planned PEThood of Georgia is seeking a Clinic Operations Manager. This position is a high-visibility, hands-on role providing oversight of our medical and surgical operations.

Saving lives is what we do, with three focus areas: Spay/Neuter, Health/Wellness, and Rescue/Adopt. We are the local experts in high-volume spay/neuter surgery, having performed more than 35,000 surgeries since opening our doors in 2010. To continue this success and increase our effectiveness in and around Gwinnett County, we need a motivated individual to manage our clinic operations.
Ensure that the public receives courteous and professional service. Take control of tense situations, handle client complaints, and ensure clients are treated with respect and professionalism by all clinic staff.
Monitor accounts receivable, make payment arrangements with funding agencies.
Order and maintain inventory of medical/surgical supplies, ensuring that best pricing is obtained for all products used.
Select and set pricing for flea/heartworm products and other retail items to maximize profitability
Manage regular vaccines clinics and special healthcare events, including staffing, supplies, and logistics.
Schedule relief veterinarians and veterinary assistants as needed.
Ensure all kennels, cages and equipment in the clinic are working properly.
Assist Medical Director with training new medical staff, providing for their growth and safety.
Maintain controlled substance records and renew licenses as needed.
Conduct and participate in meetings with staff and Veterinarians to review procedures, discuss workplace issues and share ideas. Meet with Executive Director and Medical Director regularly to develop long-range programs, review policies and procedures, and monitor budget areas of responsibility.
Work with the Executive Director to meet cost containment goals and adjust spending as necessary to remain within budget on all line items.
Ensure our surgery schedule is optimized, including performance of online reservation system.
Provide content for website and social media to advertise clinic schedules/events.
This is a salaried/exempt position with regular clinic hours in Duluth, GA, Monday thru Thursday. Occasional weekend hours may be needed for vaccine clinics and special events.
Previous supervisory experience, preferably in a veterinary setting.
Software: Windows, Word, Excel. Preference given to candidates with knowledge of Avimark and/or Quickbooks.
Additional Salary Information: Salary mid to hi 30's depending on experience. Salary/exempt position.
Planned PEThood believes that affordable, accessible spay/neuter is the key to solving the homeless pet crisis. In addition to our high-volume, high-quality surgery clinic, we offer low-cost vaccination clinics to the public. We also rescue/adopt pets through our network of foster homes.
