Rose Veterinary Hospital is looking for a Practice Manager. We are a growing mixed animal practice that focuses on providing quality veterinary medicine in a caring, respectful manner. The manager will help us achieve that goal by supporting and managing staff to improve the client and patient experience. This will be a new role within the hospital, and the manager will work closely with the owner/veterinarian to build and develop this role and its responsibilities. This will allow the owner to focus on practicing medicine. We are looking for an energetic and responsible individual. Experience in veterinary management is preferred but experience in dental or medical management will be considered. A strong background in human resources and staff management is necessary. The position will initially be part time at 20 to 25 hours per week but has the potential to become full time as the practice grows.
Duties and responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
Staff - hiring and retaining staff, creating and implementing training protocols, implementing and managing an employee review process, managing schedules and time off to control labor costs, managing licensing, CE requirements, and CE allowances for CVT's and DVM's, and implementing background checks and a drug and alcohol testing program.
Clients - demonstrate and lead staff in providing excellent client service, resolve client issues and conflicts.
Financial - daily and monthly monitoring of finanical reports, managing accounts receivable and collections, preparing accurate timesheets and tracking PTO for monthly payroll to be submitted to our CPA.
Experience with Cornerstone practice management software and QuickBooks would be benificial.
Additional Salary Information: Salary will be dependent on experience. Benefits will include membership in VHMA and a CE allowance, as well as discounted pet care.
Rose Veterinary Hospital is a progressive mixed animal practice. The practice is 71% canine, 19% Feline, 5% Equine, 2% Camelids, 1.5% Bovine, 0.5% Caprine/Ovine, 0.5% Porcine, and 0.5% everything else. Our mission statement is "To provide quality veterinary medicine in a caring, respectful manner". Large animals are cared for both at the hospital and in the field. We have a full in house lab (C...BC, chemistry, electrolytes, UA, Coagulation), Fuji CR radiographs, digital dental radiographs (DR), Aloka 500 Ultrasound with linear and convex probes, Multifunction anesthetic monitoring including blood pressure. We have a well equipped truck for ranch calls.
We have a supportive staff of veterinary technicians, assistants, and receptionist. We try to schedule at least one technician and one assistant per doctor.
Canon City is located at the base of the foothills with temperate summers and mild winters. We are close to a wide variety of outdoor activities such as hiking, horseback riding, skiing/snowboarding, kayaking, and much more
