Cobb Emergency Veterinary Clinic is a 24/7 emergency and referral practice in Marietta, GA. Our sister clinic, Cherokee Emergency Veterinary Clinic, is open from 4 pm until 9 am during weekdays and 24 hours on weekends and holidays and is located in Woodstock, GA. We are seeking RVTs and experienced veterinary assistants to join our dedicated team and prepare for the expansion of our Cherokee location to 24/7. Applicants should possess solid technical skills and knowledge, strong interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to multi-task in a sometimes stressful environment and a team based mentality. Veterinary assistants with at least two years of experience in the field are preferred and should be proficient with venipuncture, IV catheter placement, basic drug calculations and possess other basic skills. If you don’t meet these requirements, you are still encouraged to apply provided you have some quality experience and are trainable with excellent work ethic and a positive attitude about learning.
Cobb Emergency has a dedicated technical staff consisting of >30 full-time technicians supporting our team of 14 full-time DVMs. All of our technicians are scheduled at both of our locations. Our technicians are very hands-on, and we provide a family environment in which to learn and grow. Continued technician training is provided with classes covering ICU, Anesthesia Monitoring, Laboratory Skills, Triage, Central Line Placement and other relevant topics.
Please note that emergency scheduling requires nights, weekends, and most holidays. Some scheduling flexibility is required. Holiday shifts accrue time and half pay benefits. Benefits of full time employment include: paid vacation time, medical insurance subsidy for individual and family plans, a matching 401K opportunity, CE allotment, scrub provisions and more. Dental insurance, life insurance, Aflac, vision insurance, and disability insurance options are available as group membership opportunities if interested. An email to either of these contact persons, a phone call to 770-424-9157, options or a faxed resume to 770-424-8064 are options to contact either party.
