We are presently seeking a fourth veterinarian who is willing to practice progressive clinical medicine and surgery in a well established AAHA certified hospital in the Pittsburgh area. An experienced veterinarian is preferred but new graduates are encouraged to apply. We will train and mentor the new associate to develop a wide range of clinical and surgical skills. Applicant must be able to work a flexible schedule and share weekend and holiday clinic duty with other staff veterinarians. We will support an individual who would like to develop a special interest in a particular area of veterinary small animal medicine. An interest in exotic animal medicine is desirable but not a requirement. The applicant must be able to perform surgery, evaluate medical patients, order appropriate tests, provide a diagnosis and develop a treatment plan for the patients. We treat primarily dogs and cats with some exotic animals and pocket pets. We offer a wide variety of medical, surgical and diagnostic services to our clients. Complex medical and surgical cases are referred to local specialty hospitals. Emergencies after hours are referred to the emergency/specialty hospitals. We perform a wide range of general surgical services. We see many medical cases and a fair number of trauma patients. We offer pediatric, wellness, geriatric, dental, nutritional, and weight counseling We are client and patient oriented.
We are seeking a well-motivated, compassionate individual who would like to develop and enhance his or her veterinary career in a progressive AAHA hospital. Applicant must be client oriented and be able to work with our diverse caseload. Effective client communication skills are essential. Pennsylvania veterinary license is required. Applicant must be a team player and work with hospital management, staff and clients.
