Countryside Large Animal Veterinary Services is seeking a Full Time Associate Veterinarian to join our hospital team. We are a busy, fun, large animal practice in the heart of Weld County and only a short drive to Denver, Cheyenne and Rocky Mountain National Park.

Our primarily equine based clinic is also diversified by offering veterinary services for all food animals, including cattle, swine, goats, sheep and camelid patients.
A day in the life of a Countryside Veterinarian: Utilize leading edge equipment including digital radiography, endoscopy, arthroscopy, ultrasonography, shockwave, a full surgical suite with state of the art anesthesia equipment, and in-house laboratory equipment including hematology, cytology and chemistry analyzers.
Work alongside four talented veterinarians, including our double-boarded equine surgeon, certified veterinary technicians, and support staff in a learning and flexible environment. Mentorship is available for young veterinarians who want to learn fast, grow quickly, and thrive.
Caseload will vary with the season. 80% Equine, 15% beef cattle, 5% swine/small ruminant.
Types of cases: Will be scheduled to assist in most equine surgeries, as well as after-hours emergency surgery. Surgery case load will include colic, arthroscopy, fracture repair, general soft tissue, as well as production animal surgery.
Responsible for day/night treatment of hospitalized patients, depending upon case load.
Responsible for intensive care patients, hospitalized patients and triage emergencies. Involvement in community events such as county fair, Stampede rodeo, horse association events, etc.
Will be scheduled for routine appointments-in clinic and ambulatory calls. May take day time emergency calls, when available.
The ideal candidate wants to practice high-quality progressive medicine and continue to learn and grow.
Must be licensed and in good standing in the state of Colorado. Strong consideration of mature recent graduates.
Large Animal experience required. Confident horsemanship skills, good communication skills, work as part of a team and passion to provide excellent veterinary care.
Anesthesia experience a plus!
Rotating weekend duty every five weeks. Secondary vet on call week-nights. Work Schedule will vary depending upon hospital case load.
Salary + incentive.
Truck provided for ambulatory appointments/emergencies.
Private studio apartment on site available when overnight stay is required for patient monitoring.

This is a one-year contract position, which may be extended depending on the growth of the hospital case load.
