Pet Community Center is a nonprofit working to end pet homelessness and make high-quality spay/neuter and preventive veterinary care affordable and accessible to all pet owners. We serve more than 15,000 animals per year from our East Nashville location and from a mobile clinic which visits low-income neighborhoods.
Since 2011, Pet Community Center has served more than 55,000 animals and we've seen a measurable reduction in shelter intake as a result of our focused programs. We are a member of the prestigious Humane Alliance network of spay/neuter clinics.
WHO WE NEED
We're seeking candidates for the position of Medical Director. We're looking for a veterinarian with a deep, personal passion for helping pets and people - and a spirit of adventure (we are expanding!) and ability to continuously refine and improve the flow of medical operations.
Surround yourself with grateful clients, an amazing support staff and a friendly "work-life balance" schedule in one of the country's best places to live, work, and play! Nashville has both small town charm and big city amenities - plus amazing opportunities to explore nature just around the corner.
Our days and hours of operation reflect the needs of our clients, so some Saturdays and early evenings will be required.
The Medical Director is a key member of our leadership team who oversees our medical staff, sets medical and training protocols, and creates and executes strategy and annual plan initiatives. The Medical Director performs high volume spay/neuter surgeries, preventive wellness care, and additional medical procedures.
At least one year of experience as a high volume spay/neuter surgeon (30+ surgeries per day) is preferred. Must have, or be able to quickly obtain, a license to practice veterinary medicine in Tennessee and a DEA license.
IS IT YOU?
There’s a chance you may be our ideal Medical Director if you meet the description above, and if:

You would love to be part of a team that has fun every day and is committed to professional excellence.
