The Humane Society of Northeast Georgia is seeking an additional registered veterinary technician to assist with operation of the surgery, wellness and rescue programs. Duties include anesthetic induction, medical record keeping, controlled drug logging, anesthesia monitoring, staff training, dental care, client interactions, maintenance of hospitalized animals, performing diagnostics and more.
HSNEGA has a newly renovated Wellness Center and has a Surgery Center renovation scheduled in the near future. As a fast growing organization, HSNEGA strives to provide the best for the pets under its care. Shelter vets utilize full in house blood work, ultrasound, microscope, fluid pumps, dental scaler and drill, ophthalmoscope/otoscope, SNAP Pro machine, PetPoint Software, IdexxNeo Software. Veterinary technicians are expected to master the utilization of all equipment to assist doctors and train assistants.
Due to the diversity and versatility of the organization, veterinary staff see a wide variety of medical conditions and treatments.
