Southeastern Veterinary Hospital in Lumberton, NC is seeking a full-time Veterinarian. We are a busy, fast-paced practice located in a rural area, and provide excellent care to both companion animals and livestock. Applicants should possess a passion to provide outstanding medical care, a desire to build lasting client relationships, and a willingness to provide leadership within the practice. We offer all routine services such as spay/neuter, dental prophylaxis, radiographs, and vaccinations. In addition, Southeastern Veterinary Hospital provides services such as in-house progesterone testing, surgical insemination, ear cropping, ultrasound, boarding, and grooming. We also offer farm calls, and accept emergencies after-hours. At SEVH, we pride ourselves on our customer service and willingness to meet the needs of our clients. We have a close relationship with NC State University’s teaching hospital and experts in every field that we can consult when needed. Our owner and head veterinarian, Dr. Curt Locklear, is a pillar of his community. He is well-respected and has been voted "Best Veterinarian" by the people of Robeson County for several consecutive years. He is a graduate of Tuskegee University, and has been in practice for over thirty years. Dr. Locklear is an outstanding mentor, and is always willing to teach an eager learner.
Applicants should have an outgoing personality and a positive attitude, with a willingness to provide leadership within the practice. One should have the ability to communicate well with all cultural groups, as our area is extremely diverse. The ability to multi-task is a must, as our office is very fast-paced. Proficiency in small and large animal medicine and surgery is required.

We offer house and farm calls, routine surgeries, specialty procedures, and full service grooming/boarding. SEVH is equipped with a new digital radiograph, equine radiograph equipment, and other technologies to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of our patients. We perform a number of artificial and surgical inseminations, which are made simpler by our in-house progesterone testing machine.
