A small animal veterinary clinic in the Atlanta area is looking for our practice manager to help us to continue grow and provide the best veterinary care and client experience. This is a full time salaried position.
The practice manager is responsible for the business activities of the practice including: hiring and training support staff; working with the owner to prepare financial statements and budgets, monitoring key performance indicators and setting fees; maintaining inventory and an inventory control system; managing the clinic software; and implementing safety and security procedures. This is a leadership position with the additional responsibility of ensuring a positive work environment in which the practice achieves its goals.
Responsibilities will include the following:
Manage all scheduling of staff and clients
In charge of client relations and making sure the office promotes a client centric environment and facilities all resolutions for client issues
Resolves any outstanding billing issues with clients
Provides human resource role managing all staff, office activities, hiring, training, and resolves staff issues
Reviews all financials for key performance indicators and monitors accounts receivable and payable
Works with the accountant to make sure any necessary financial documentation is maintained and provided.
Orders and maintains all supplies needed
Manages and organizes and events for the marketing of the business
Works closely with the owner to achieve the practice goals
Helps with any marketing initiatives as needed
Performs other duties as assigned
Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
Certified Veterinary Practice Manager designation is preferred
Work experience managing business operations, financial reporting and budgeting, and staff management
Minimum 3 years working in a veterinary practice.
Feel and express a genuine liking for animals and for working in an animal care environment.
Must be able to multitask and deal with clients efficiently and pleasantly while on the phone or in person, maintaining several things at once.
Must be able to work under minimal supervision from the owner, and have the ability to make decisions for the practice with sound judgment.
Must be able to tactfully demonstrate “take charge” capabilities.
Display tact and diplomacy with staff members and clients.
Work almost constantly in the presence of other staff members and clients.
Be flexible in attitude and work habits.
Ability to be able to prioritize, manage, and create processes and systems.
Able to motivate and work with staff effectively.
