| FT Veterinary Associate Needed: Have Fun At Work- No More Bad Days ! Our 7+ yr associate is leaving this fall to move closer to family; we would like to add a DVM this summer for a smooth transition. We hire slowly and hope to keep you forever; we do not tolerate toxic employees or drama, we value a calm, fun, positive workplace with low turnover. We are privately owned, not part of any corporate chain. We have all the usual toys. We do not offer boarding/grooming/adoptions….you can focus on actual patients. We refer emergencies after hours. There is a large referral hospital 30 minutes away. Position is FT (36-40hrs/week physically in the clinic, no work to take home), but scheduled work hours can be flexed to meet your needs. We want you to have life outside of work....and build the appointment schedule around our doctors' needs. We want you home on time...and build in plenty of time for charting/followups/treatments. Life happens, so we plan for lots of PTO. We are always open to discussion on introducing new protocols/procedures/equipment/medications, and feel the best minds are always open to learning. You must be comfortable with and enjoy dentistry and all common soft tissue surgeries: spays, neuters, exploratories, mass removals, cystotomies, etc. Orthopedics are not required, but we do have the equipment if you have an interest and experience. Most days would include surgical hours in the morning, and exam appointments in the afternoon, with a 90 minute break midday. We treat only dogs and cats at the moment, but an interest in exotics would be welcomed. After an introductory period, must be confident working solo (with plenty of support staff); we usually have two doctors working at a time, but spread between the two offices. We have 2 offices about 20 miles apart, located in Western New York State, right on Lake Erie. The open position would be in the Westfield location. We are located roughly between Erie PA and Buffalo NY. We do get snow…..but we don’t get tornados, hurricanes,or poisonous snakes.
