Are you a strong leader who is ready to influence the direction of a promising small animal practice with a rich history? Powder Springs Animal Clinic, near Atlanta, GA, is looking for a veterinarian to lead their team as Medical Director.
The Medical Director position is approximately 90% clinical, 10% administrative. You'll enjoy plenty of support from our new Practice Manager (over 17 years of experience, experience with large specialty group) and Regional Manager (CVPM, Veterinary Hospital Manager Association Manager of the Year, Georgia Veterinary Manager's Association President) as you develop new protocols and determine how we can best serve our loyal client base. We plan on working towards becoming AAHA-accredited. The exterior of the building has undergone renovations. Your opinions/needs will influence the direction of interior renovations.
Our ideal candidate:
Has at least 3 years of experience as a veterinarian and the desire to lead by example to positively impact patient care and quality of medicine, client service and practice culture
Is passionate about mentoring developing veterinarians and support staff
Has experience facilitating resolution of complex employee and client relations issues
Is able to meet regularly with Hospital Manager to review management of controllable costs, evaluate new products and protocols, and strategize to improve the overall culture and financial health of the practice
