We are seeking registered veterinarian technicians to work in our high quality, high volume spay/neuter clinic in the Athens GA area. Applicants must have a passion for animal welfare, enjoy serving the underserved and thrive in a fast paced environment.
We currently have one full-time position. 4 day week Mon-Thur 7:30-5:30
We are willing to train a candidate with high mission and skill fit in high volume spay/neuter surgery support.
The Athens Area Humane Society is a dynamic, growing animal welfare organization that provides services to reduce homeless and unwanted pet populations, primarily through high quality, high volume spay/neuter programs and healthy pet adoptions.
Our spay/neuter veterinary technicians are responsible for the comfort and safety of all surgical patients in their care at the Athens Area Humane Society, and for supporting our spay/neuter surgery team in accordance with our high quality standards and SOPs.
All Athens Area Humane Society veterinary technicians are responsible for sharing medical information with staff, clients and students with compassion and empathy and developing professional, friendly, and mutually beneficial relationships with local veterinarians, promoting the Athens Area Humane Society and our mission within the veterinary community.

Our candidate must be a Registered Veterinary Technician and must hold a current license to practice Veterinary Technology in Georgia.
Prefer at least one year of experience in a high volume spay/neuter clinic. Training is available, however, for RVT's with a strong desire and aptitude to become successful support staff for our high volume surgeons and who demonstrate outstanding culture fit.
