A different kind of practice with a different kind of culture. The anti corporate practice. We are growing amazingly fast and are in the process of building a large new building with 10 exam rooms, and essentially a hospital within the hospital for cats. We have a team oriented staff who are positive and have fun in and out of work. Our doctors are given wide latitude to discount or offer pro bono services. We mentor our doctors and encourage them to learn. Our owner, a CSU graduate, is passionate about surgery, oncology, repro and alternative medicine. She is certified in acupuncture and breeds Bernese Mt. Dogs. All the doctors bring their personal dogs to work (so long as they get along together.) The dogs are mostly free range in the hospital. We have a full suite of Heska lab equipment and do over 90% of our lab work in house to get fast results. We just upgraded our digital x-ray machine so the images are even more amazing. We do pre-surgical bloodwork on all surgeries, we use sevo, and have a Doppler Ultrasound. We have an emergency clinic that takes care of our patients on nights, weekends and holidays. The only exception to that is the very occasional C-section or emergency from our local Animal Control. We provide a high staff to doctor ratio (currently we have 7 staff per doctor). Our location is an hour to DC and Richmond and two hours to Charlottesville, Norfolk and Baltimore. The ocean and mountains are close enough for day trips. King George has the Potomac which is two miles wide for boating, paddling and fishing.

About Eagle's Nest Animal Hospital
We are a different kind of animal hospital. We have really nice employees who have a lot of fun at work while at the same time providing excellent customer service and high quality medicine. We've carefully built a culture of team work and positive attitudes. We have a new suite of Heska lab equipment, a recently upgraded fully digital X-ray machine, Doppler ultrasound, electronic records etc. Currently we have more than 7 staff per doctor, which makes everyone more efficient. We are in the process of building a brand new 8,500 sq. ft. animal hospital with 10 exam rooms, two surgeries, and essentially a hospital within a hospital for cats. The cats only have to leave the cat area for surgery and X-ray. We only do small animal. There is a local emergency animal hospital which handles nights, weekends and holidays. We do work with animal control and our breeders to do the odd emergency/ c-section but it is only a handful of times a year. Our doctors bring their personal dogs to work almost every, and they are mostly free range around the hospital.
