A small animal practice in Acworth, Georgia is looking for an EXPERIENCED veterinary technician to join our team. Customer service comes first and we strive to make sure every client leaves educated with all of their questions answered. Responsibilities And Duties
We utilize all employees to their full potential and share all hospital responsibilities to better serve our patients. This is a challenging but rewarding position that requires dedication and passion for animal care. The perfect candidate should have these important skills;
Providing quality and compassionate patient care
Providing exceptional client care and education
Entering medical notes (E vet practice software experience a plus)
Triage calls & appointments
Daily housekeeping and hospital maintenance
Ability to run in house and outside labs
Mentoring less experienced staff
Animal handling and restraining
Knowledge of animal medications
X-ray, anesthesia and surgical monitoring, and small animal dentistry
Cross-training in all areas of the hospital
I.V. Catheter placements, phlebotomy, and surgical prep
Computer skills a must
Strong communication and organizational skills
3+ years work experience
Must be a team player and remain calm under pressure or during emergencies
Additional Salary Information: Salary is dependent on experience and whether the applicant is a registered veterinary technician
