At Parker Center Animal Clinic you will be part of a privately owned, high-quality, busy, AAHA accredited hospital in Parker, Colorado close to Denver and the beautiful Rocky Mountains. Here you will get to work with a competent, fun-loving support team and clients who value their pet’s health and the relationships we build with them. Our hospital provides excellent preventative care to dogs, cats, and exotics, high quality dentistry, advanced diagnostics, and complete surgical and medical care. Some of our advanced care includes: laparoscopic surgical procedures, tightrope CCL repair, digital radiology, ultrasound, and class IV laser therapy.
We are looking for a veterinarian who has a strong work ethic, excellent patient care, ready to go surgery skills, a love of learning and teaching, ability to go above and beyond to work up cases and communicate with clients, and has a great sense of humor. Your schedule would include four weekdays plus every third Saturday (abbreviated hours). We don’t require you to be on call or come in after hours, but we can handle emergencies and urgent care cases during business hours so our shifts do sometimes run long. We value continued learning and leadership in every member of our team which typically includes 5 doctors plus support staff.
We are looking for someone who can:
Develop a rapport with clients and determine their needs and wishes; perform physical examinations and diagnostic/medical/surgical/dental procedures in a way that will deliver the highest quality care while minimizing patient stress and discomfort.
Advocate for the pet’s best interest by clearly communicating its healthcare needs and helping clients make decisions about their pets’ care.
Explain physical examination findings and communicate to the client a diagnosis of the pet’s problems; educate clients on preventative health care, including vaccines and appropriate nutritional products; oversee generation and presentation of a treatment plan.
Maintain complete medical records and make certain all necessary logs are kept up-to-date through established protocols. Software is Impromed Infinity and we are considered a “paperless” hospital.
Stay up-to-date with new medical information and changes in veterinary medicine, attend Continuing Education meetings and complete at least 30 hours of accredited CE per year.
Provide leadership to the support team to ensure the delivery of the highest quality care and exceptional client service. Help the staff to prioritize and stay on task. Provide teaching during formal meetings as well as day to day during our regular business.
Positively represent the hospital in the professional community and to the general public. Build practice growth through such means as participating in the community to promote PCAC.
Assist colleagues in follow-up and future management of the patient. Make good use of the other doctors as resources.
