Flat River Veterinary Hospital is looking to add a full or part time associate veterinarian to our practice in Rougemont, NC. The practice is well-established in the Durham area, offering large animal care for over 30 years. Our goal is to provide a family-oriented atmosphere to practice high quality, personalized care for our clients. We provide routine care including wellness and preventative medicine, breeding, routine dentistry, lameness, and emergency care to a diverse large animal population. The practice population is made up of predominantly horses, with a mixture of backyard to performance horses. The remainder of the practice is composed of small ruminants, cattle, and- lesser so- camelids. The practice is equipped with digital radiography, ultrasound, power float equipment, and have endoscopic capabilities. Cases are seen predominantly ambulatory, but hospital has haul-in capabilities.
We are seeking an ambitious and motivated associate, who desires work-life balance. Emergency coverage is required, but is split 50% and, when not on call, the associate is encouraged to unplug from work! Associate will be provided with a fully furnished take home practice vehicle and practice cell phone. Compensation includes CE allowance, heath care, licensing and association fees, liability insurance, sick leave, PTO, and maternity leave. DVM required, as well as ability to obtain licensure in NC/VA, as well as USDA accreditation. Position is available immediately but timing is flexible as we would like to find a great fit for our practice family.
