Who We are: Founded in 1996, Mid-Columbia Pet Emergency Service is AAHA-accredited and is now a part of the SAGE network of hospitals. We are expanding our Emergency hospital to include surgery (orthopedic and soft tissue). We are seeking a board-certified Surgeon who wants to start a surgery department from scratch (that means selecting your own equipment and building the practice) in a region with a very little competition. Who you are: You are a board-certified surgeon who welcomes the independence and adventure of being the only surgeon within a three-hour drive. You enjoy working with receptive clients who want high-quality veterinary care for their pets. You want to make a difference in a community where orthopedic and soft tissue services are needed. And, you enjoy working in a busy and well-established practice with a team that gets along well. This will be your department, and we would welcome input to grow the service together. Some of our values in action: - Collaboration: You will always be just a phone call away from other Surgeons, as well as specialists who work within the SAGE network. Specialties you’ll have access to include Anesthesiology, Oncology, Neurology, and Internal Medicine. You’ll have the opportunity to share knowledge with a brilliant and diverse community of doctors.
- Sustainability: As our industry changes, smaller, doctor-led community practices are becoming rarer. We are constantly enhancing our model and growth strategy to ensure that the SAGE way thrives and spreads, keeping our core values and methods intact.
- Compassion: Our work is about caring for living creatures, no matter how many legs they use. We place compassion first for our patients and their people.
- Innovation: Top technology and top skills - we are about pushing the envelope to serve our community.
Compensation and perks: - Signing bonus
