Seeking Mixed Animal Veterinary Associate

Lunsford Veterinary Care Center (LVCC) is seeking a 4th full or part-time associate veterinarian to join our growing 3 doctor mixed animal practice in Northwest Arkansas. Our mission is to strengthen the human animal bond in an environment that is focused on building strong relationships between the veterinary team, our clients and their pets or livestock. Current veterinarians are committed to providing mentorship as needed or desired. We have amazing support staff and wonderful facilities. Northwest Arkansas is a unique suburban area with access to a variety of recreation, proximity to metropolitan living amenities and home of the University of Arkansas, while still providing a rural animal veterinary experience.

Practice Overview

• Normal business hours are 8:00am - 5:30pm Monday - Friday
• Small animal emergencies are referred to a local ER Clinic
• Large animal emergency services are provided by LVCC 
• Ambulatory services are within  approximately a 30 mile radius
• New large animal indoor facility with hydraulic chute and working pen system
• Practice caseload: 65/35 small animal / large animal
  • Large animal demographics: 50% Equine, 30% Bovine, 20% Small Ruminant and a few pigs

Salary is negotiable, depending on skill level, years in practice and number of days worked.

Job Requirements

• DVM or equivalent 
• Full time or part-time position, 3-5 days / week
• Provide small animal medical and surgical services
• Provide large animal medicine and surgery, ambulatory services, and 1/3 of after hour large animal emergency service. Additional compensation is provided for after-hours emergency services rendered.
• We support the pursuit of special interests
