Our non-corporate 7 doctor practice is undergoing a major expansion and we are recruiting an ambitious doctor to join our team that is interested in a heavy surgical (+/- dentistry) caseload. There is a need for someone with significant surgical interest to jump into a surgery focused position including many emergent procedures (foreign bodies, pyometras, cystotomies, PUs, amputations, etc.) and the ability to perform orthopedic surgeries. Additional, surgery focused training is available to clinicians interested in gaining more surgical experience.
There is tremendous autonomy to explore your own interests within veterinary medicine-acupuncture, ultrasound, ER/urgent care, surgery, dentistry, etc. and our hospital is supportive of these initiatives!
New graduates are welcome to apply and excellent mentorship is available! We have a formal training program and are looking for new doctors that are EXCITED about a career in vet med. Our hospital recently completed a major renovation and is equipped with new technologies and modern equipment. We are also in the process of undergoing a major expansion adding additional exam rooms, a dedicated office/meeting room space, and advanced surgical capabilities. We are located right outside Philadelphia. We have an opening for a veterinarian to work in the general practice, but there is flexibility to do some urgent care if that is of interest. Our general practice veterinarians enjoy to benefit of working alongside an urgent care veterinarian which prevents double/over booking of appointment slots, but it accommodates clients when they need to get in. Our urgent care veterinarian starts the day with no pre-scheduled appointments and will see walk-ins and same day sick visits.
Although performing surgery is not a requirement of the position, our practice performs a lot of surgery, and so interest/experience in surgery is a plus. Because our team is very collaborative and works well together, it is also easy to pair a veterinarian without an interest in surgery with someone that is interested in surgery to ensure that we have appropriate coverage. There is the ability to jump right into a busy caseload or excellent mentorship in surgery, medicine, and urgent care is also available for new graduates. Full or part time considered. We offer the highest level of veterinary care including wellness and sick visits, urgent care, surgery, dentistry, and grooming. Our hospital offers scheduled appointments and urgent care visits 7 days a week and is open 7a-9p Monday-Friday and 8a-2p Saturday & Sunday.
We have an excellent, highly trained team of technicians and CSRs which a very high support staff to doctor ratio to enable our clinicians to work efficiently. Our hospital culture offers an opportunity to be a part of a growing practice and we welcome new ideas and suggestions on ways we can improve. We have regular staff meetings to help discuss how things are going and what we could change or do better. Our team is comprised of staff from a variety of backgrounds so we enjoy hearing about what the staff has experience in and finding things we can utilize in our practice. We recently renovated the building and upgrades include a digital dental x-ray, new lab equipment, a fully stocked pharmacy, digital radiographs, oxygen cage, new anesthesia monitoring equipment, and ultrasound.
