Western Veterinary Partners is searching for a remote veterinary recruiting specialist to help us attract, hire, and engage with the best people in the veterinary industry. This individual will assist the Sr. Director of Recruiting, manage and expand day-to-day support staff recruiting activities, and partner with the Operations and Human Resources teams.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Located in the Pacific Northwest
- College degree
- 1-3 years of work experience in recruitment concepts, practices, and procedures
- Experience in the veterinary industry (DVM recruiting, vet tech, vet assistant, or practice management) (Must have)
- Excellent organization skills and attention to detail for tasks
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills
- A positive, can-do attitude!
- Location: OR, WA, ID, N. CA
Your Responsibilities:
- Update and maintain the use of the ATS by the hiring managers and hospital teams
- Assist the practices with candidate sourcing when needed
- Provide leadership and advice to hiring managers and interview teams
- Support and implement employee engagement activities (welcoming new team members, tracking promotions/employee referrals, and acknowledging work anniversaries)
- Oversee new hire on-boarding for support staff positions including drafting offer letters, new hire paperwork, and being the point of contact
- Handle career fair registration, coordination, and support
- Identify useful key trends to improve the onboarding experience
- Ensure that candidate information is kept up to date and handled correctly in the ATS
- Keep job postings up to date
- Run queries and standard reports in the ATS
- Respond to student inquiries (emails and phone calls) and redirect as appropriate
- Directly support the Recruiting team with various activities as needed
