Animal Medical and Surgical Center is looking for a kennel assistant to join our team. The candidate must have a positive attitude, work well in a team environment, as well as individually, be energetic, reliable, self-motivated, professional and always strive to have our patients & clients best interest at heart. Weekend and holiday work is required. Applicant must have compassion for animals and their owners. The lodging facility is for dogs, cats, and exotic pets. AMSC provides the opportunity to all kennel technicians to attend Penn Foster and train in hospital to become a Veterinary Technician. We also offer tuition assistance for Penn Foster.

Responsibilities will include:
Feeding and exercising animals that are lodging
Checking-in boarders and positively interacting with their owners
Medicating boarded animals as appropriate
Cleaning of boarding and all hospital areas
Potential for cross-training as a Veterinary Assistant, with Penn Foster tuition assistance
- High School Diploma or GED - Comfortable working with all types and sizes of animals - Work flexible hours during the week, weekend, and holidays (required) - Bend, stoop, stand, walk, lift fifty (50) pounds or more - Work with disinfectants and cleaning solutions
