Rosedale Animal Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland is growing and looking for an associate veterinarian to join the team. We are a full-service companion animal hospital. Our facility is newly renovated and includes a surgery suite with multiparameter monitors, cautery, and suction; dental suite including a digital dental radiology unit; in-house DR digital x-ray capabilities; in-house laboratory (as well as outside reference lab); a hospitalization area with a separate infectious disease ward; and a therapeutic laser. We have a variety of referral practices close by if you need special diagnostic procedures or just a helping hand, and we work with a traveling surgeon onsite as well as an ultrasound group run by a boarded radiologist.
Our focus is on quality over quantity. That includes 30-minute appointments, with time to discuss recommendations and diagnoses. There are no emergency visits, no on-call hours, and we pay close attention to schedules so that no one is overworked. We have many experienced technicians and support staff, some who have been with us for more than 20 years. We’re looking for someone who wants to join us long term! Our clients are loyal and appreciate the extra steps we take to educate them on their pet’s care.
We encourage mentorship and with our long tenured staff, a new grad would always have support. This position would also benefit an experienced vet who doesn’t want to work themselves into the ground! While we presently do not provide avian or reptile care, if that is your interest, we would be happy to provide that opportunity (and clients who would be happy to provide you patients).
Our practice is just outside the Baltimore city limits, so it’s a quick ride to downtown, which offers great restaurants, theaters, music venues, and night life. Baltimore is located right on the Chesapeake Bay, which boasts opportunities for boating, fishing, and all kinds of watersports, and we’re close to plenty of hiking trails and any kind of outdoor recreation.
The emotional and physical wellbeing of our employees is important to us. We offer competitive salary, medical benefits (including health, dental and vision), 401(k), employee assistance program (EAP), CE allowance, vacation, dues, liability coverage, mentorship and so much more.
