We are excited to welcome applications for a mixed animal practitioner to join our team. This position will involve large animal ambulatory calls and attending to dogs and cats at our clinic in Plainfield. The position has some flexibility in species focus; we also welcome those interested in predominantly small animal practice. The FT position includes a 4 day work week, shared large animal emergency duties (small animal emergencies are referred to a local 24 hour clinic), paid vacation, holidays and sick time. Also included is health insurance, liability insurance, 401K with employer contribution, license fees and AVMA dues, CE and other trainings.
Our mixed practice is split approximately 50:50 between large and small animal cases. Ambulatory calls are about 70% equine with dairy and small ruminants rounding out the majority of the remainder. We have full in-house lab capabilities: blood work, urinalysis, fecal analysis, and cytology. We have mobile ultrasound units, computed in house and mobile radiography, digital mobile and dental x-ray, 1 meter fiber optic endoscope, and electronic medical records. Our technicians are well versed in all aspects of clinic operations and readily provide excellent support.

Part time applications will be considered. We also have scheduling flexibility if circumstances require a novel approach.
New graduates are welcomed to apply. We take mentoring very seriously both on the road and in the clinic. We tailor our program to meet the new employee’s needs and strengths. With multiple doctors working each day, our resources are flexible and readily available. Our team oriented approach allows for new employees to integrate into the practice smoothly. We enjoy learning from each other every day; this is a natural mode for us.
