Paws & Claws Animal Hospital is a rapidly growing, progressive, Independently owned 4-DVM small animal practice located in Damascus, Maryland, a quaint town known best for “small town charm,” Just 30 minutes from Washington, D.C.! Our course features five exam rooms, a digital record system, a full in-house laboratory, digital radiography, ultrasound, laser therapy, and digital dental radiographs. We offer a flexible family schedule and have a strong support staff. You will NOT be required to provide overnight care or on-call duties!

You will enjoy the relaxed 30–40-minute appointments to allow you to develop relationships with clients and practice quality veterinary medicine.

Diagnosing and treating medical conditions in small animals, such as dogs, cats, rabbits, and other small pets.
Performing routine check-ups, preventive care, and routine surgeries.
Creating and updating medical records for each patient, including health history and vaccination records.
Communicating with clients and pet owners to provide education and advice on pet care and health issues.
Prescribing and administering medications, treatments, and therapies as needed.
Maintaining a safe and sanitary work environment, including sterilizing equipment and supplies.
Staying up-to-date on the latest advances in veterinary medicine through continuing education and professional development opportunities.
Collaborating with other veterinary professionals, such as technicians and support staff, to provide high-quality care to patients.
Building and maintaining positive relationships with clients and referring veterinarians.
