Animal Ark Pet Hospital Inc. is an independent practice with 9 doctors and 2 full-service hospitals in Erie, PA.  

What’s good about a larger practice?

• We have more flexibility in scheduling and time off
• You’ll always have other doctors on-site with you for real-time collaboration 
• Mentoring is available in a variety of areas of practice - behavior, dentistry, exotics, orthopedics, acupuncture, etc 
• Our large and varied caseload provides ample experience right away
• If you would like to enhance your expertise in a particular area of medicine, we have the staff, equipment, and facilities to make that happen

What’s good about an independently-owned practice?

• You’ll have freedom to make individual decisions for individual patients, without having to follow “cookbook” protocols 
• You won’t be under outside pressure to meet unrealistic financial goals
• We love new and fresh ideas for improvement, and you can bring your insights directly to the managers and owners

• It’s a historic mid-size city with plenty of available activities (theater, museums, sports, arts)
• Our cost of living is reasonable, and it’s easy to get around
• We have outdoor activities for every season(boating, fishing, skiing, hiking, biking, golfing, you name it!), with a Great Lake at your doorstep
• We are an easy drive of 2 hours or less from Cleveland, Pittsburgh, and Buffalo, with all of the activities they offer

The Animal Ark Pet Hospital was founded in 1987 by Dr. Gerald Campbell with the goal of providing top quality pet care in a professional and friendly atmosphere. Our clients and pets were coming from Erie and the surrounding areas, and in 1998, we opened our second location, Animal Kingdom Pet Hospital, to meet the increased demands for our services. Both hospitals are fully equipped and staffed to provide complete veterinary care, including orthopedics, dermatology, dentistry, internal medicine, in-house laboratory testing, radiology, ultrasound and telemedicine consultations, nutritional counseling and behavioral evaluations and treatment. The diverse and varied educational backgrounds representing several different veterinary schools provide the opportunity for your pet to receive the best possible care. Our staff is well trained to answer all of your pet related questions and takes pride in being a major component of our health care team. We constantly strive to enhance our knowledge and communication skills to ensure that owners understand the treatments recommended by our doctors. We also realize the importance of preventive medicine, or wellness care, to ensure that you...r pet lives both a long and high quality life. We guard dearly the trust our clients place in us for the care of their beloved pets. At both our hospitals, quality care blended with compassion allows us to provide the best patient care possible.
