Country Valley Veterinary Clinic is currently a 4 doctor practice located about 30 minutes west of Albany, New York. We are AAHA certified, and we are committed to providing high quality, compassionate care for a reasonable price to our clientele. We are well equipped with a full in house laboratory suite, CR Digital X-Ray, Dental Digital X-Ray, Color Ultrasound, Tonopen, Fluid Pumps, Laser, Cardell Monitors, Bair Huggers, etc. We are appropriately staffed with a 5 to 1 staff to DVM ratio. We utilize licensed technicians to the fullest extent of the law, allowing veterinarians to be free to do their jobs properly. We offer 30 minute appointments and focus on quality of care as well as client relationships. Our surgical patients enjoy close monitoring and individual attention with a high regard for comfort and safety.
At Country Valley Veterinary Clinic, we believe that each employee is a valued member of our team and our culture. We offer flexible scheduling based on the needs of our employees, who have been with us for many years in most cases, and we pride ourselves on providing a warm and supportive environment. We close daily for lunch to allow everyone to get a break, and we strive to get out shortly after closing on a daily basis.
Our veterinarians are provided with a generous base salary based upon the schedule they choose, all routine dues and fees paid, and an above average pro-sal package is provided. Our current veterinarians have all chosen to be part time and work between 25 and 30 hours a week, but we are able to accommodate as little as one day a week up to a fulltime schedule if preferred. We value quality of life, and offer ample time off as well as a focus on reasonable hours and work flow. We do not see after hour emergencies.
We see a fair amount of urgent care at CVVC, and we are specifically looking for a clinician who is interested in working cases up fully and who is interested in surgery. Although we are willing to train the right candidate, our future associate should enjoy surgery (at least in theory). We are also happy to train our next veterinarian in the use of ultrasound if desired as we find this tool essential to practice.
Overall, we truly pride ourselves on being reasonable people and getting on well as a team. This is a great group of people who simply want to take care of area pets as well as we possibly can, and who want to have fun while we do it. We also value our families and our personal pets, and we make sure to have time for them in our lives. It is possible to have a healthy work life balance, and at Country Valley Veterinary Clinic, we have figured out how to have both an excellent career and a good home life.
Please consider viewing us on Facebook or on our website (www.countryvalleyvet.com). We hope that you will express your interest in the position by emailing us or sending us your CV and a letter of intent, attention Crystal C. Murray, DVM.
