Family Tree Animal Clinic in Milton, Georgia is seeking a self-motivated and experienced Veterinarian Independent Contractor to work one Friday a month or one Friday every quarter. As an independent contractor, you will work side by side with our team to provide high-quality medical care to our patients, and educate our clients on gold standard medical/surgical procedures.

Our clinic is a state-of-the-art canine and feline-exclusive general practice, operating in a paperless environment, offering services such as in-house diagnostics, surgery, dental procedures, digital whole-body x-ray, digital dental x-ray, and ultrasound. We have a dedicated team of professionals who are eager to assist you.

As a Veterinarian Independent Contractor, you will be responsible for examining animals to detect and determine the nature of diseases or injuries, treating sick or injured animals by prescribing medication, dressing wounds, or performing surgery for minor wound repair, inoculating animals against various diseases such as rabies and distemper, and collecting body tissue, feces, blood, urine, or other body fluids for examination and analysis. You will operate diagnostic equipment such as, but not limited to, radiographic and ultrasound equipment and interpret the resulting images, advise animal owners regarding sanitary measures, feeding, and general care necessary to promote animal health, and educate the public about diseases that can be spread from animals to humans.

To be successful in this role, you must maintain your composure and have a pleasant demeanor while multi-tasking and, at times, dealing with stressful situations. You must be attentive, resourceful, resilient, organized, and courteous, with strong leadership qualities. You will be expected to provide guidance and leadership to the healthcare team that will positively influence the level of care and service provided to the clients and patients of Family Tree Animal Clinic.

Minimum Requirements:

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited university
• License to practice veterinary medicine in Georgia
• Proficient in surgery, dentistry, and diagnostic imaging
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as a team player
• Possess leadership qualities
• Available to work on a Friday
• Possess liability insurance coverage
