Work, Life, Balance... be a doctor and enjoy life in Colorado!
Uintah Pet Emergency is an emergency/ urgent care facility located in beautiful downtown Colorado Springs, CO. Uintah is planning to transition to 24/7 in the next few months, and we are adding to our team! We are interested in speaking with experienced ER DVMs, internship-trained DVMs, and new grads or GP DVMs who have an interest in emergency medicine. ER Mentorship is available!
For our patients and our clients, our focus is the human-animal bond above all else and being of service to our community.
For our doctors, techs, client service representatives, and assistants, we believe in teamwork. Through that teamwork, we all achieve the work-life balance we are all looking for and in our free time enjoy everything the Springs and Colorado have to offer!
We have extended hours to noon-midnight weekly. With the addition of 2-3 more DVMs, we will transition hours to 24/7.
The Colorado Springs area is home to Pikes Peak, the inspiration for America the Beautiful, and the most spectacular mountain in the country. Garden of the Gods is a MUST visit when in the area! We are home to the US Olympic Training Center, Space Foundation Headquarters and Discovery Center, US Air Force Academy, and so many more special places making it a spectacular place to call home. For outdoor enthusiasts, we are only a quick two-hour drive away from world-class skiing, hiking, running, and biking trails right in our backyard. US News has recently ranked Colorado Springs as the #1 “Most Desired Places To Live.” A short hour drive to Denver allows easy access to "big city life".

NVA Overview:NVA is a growing community of general practice clinics, emergency hospitals, equine practices, specialty hospitals, and pet resorts across five countries. Our doctors and pet care teams share best practices, medical knowledge, innovation, and insights. This collaborative approach allows each individual practice and pet resort to do what they do best: service their local community with compassionate, best-in-class care and medicine, to enhance the lives of the animals they love while backed by the support, stability, and leadership of NVA.
Compassion-First and NVA recognize that we share deep-rooted values and priorities. For years, our dedication to Specialty and Emergency medicine has been a common background.
Our groups have long shared the belief that the best patient care comes from championing hospitals in their local communities and supporting the practices and culture that have made them successful. We believe in empowering veterinarians and their teams with deeper resources so they can do more of what’s already working.
Combining our strengths gives us the opportunity to make a lasting and positive impact on the profession, our people, and the care of animals.
As one of the only dedicated Specialty and Emergency groups in the industry, NVA Compassion-First is the trusted partner of hospital teams who are looking for more—more resources to advance their medicine, a greater sense of belonging, and increased opportunities to care for their patients, clients and people.
