There is a place in the southwest that we refer to as the hidden gem. It's nestled in the mountains and surrounded by history of the Wild West. There are mountains to hike and trails to bike. A Mall with a Dillard’s, Best Buy, Movie Theater and Home Depot. We have multiple gyms, including right next door, Target, Lowes, Walmart, Ace Hardware, etc. are just down the road in town. Weekly Farmer’s Markets offer fresh organic products, and the Veterans Memorial Park holds frequent community events. A desirable school district featuring a Blue Ribbon Elementary school, club sports, and comparatively lower housing prices make Sierra Vista the perfect place to raise a family. There are plenty of dining options from German bakeries to sushi bars.
An outdoor-lover’s paradise, Sierra Vista is an Arizona sky island at 4,500 to 5,000 feet elevation with temperatures typically 20 degrees cooler than Phoenix. Spanish for "mountain view,” Sierra Vista was named for the many mountain ranges in the area. Hiking, biking, horseback riding, off-roading, bird watching, and spelunking in the mountains are just some of the many activities residents enjoy. The limestone rich Mustang and Whetstone mountain ranges hold one of Arizona's true geological treasures, Kartchner Caverns State Park.
Just 30 minutes from town, Fort Huachuca offers a number of recreational opportunities including a military museum. Parker Canyon Lake, a 130-acre lake perfect for fishing, boating and camping, is only an hour’s drive! Sierra Vista is internationally known as the “Hummingbird Capital of the United States." Head east from the river to visit Tombstone for some old western charm or southeast to Bisbee, an old copper mining town nestled in the mountains, which has transformed into an art, music, and cultural hub.
Inside of this quaint little city is a veterinary hospital that lives off coffee all throughout the day. The team is made up of people who enjoy snorkeling in Mexico, traveling, cross fit competitions, Ironman training, and taking care of our community’s furry family members. This General Practice focuses on small animal with exotics sprinkled into the day from time to time. Surgery consists of the basic spays and neuters, soft tissue surgery, several orthopedic cases and believes in the power of dentistry. Post-surgical pain management is improved with the use of Multi-Radial Cold Laser therapy. We use a Fear Free/Stress free approach with our patients and strive to exceed client expectations. The culture of the hospital is defined by a team that laughs at awful dad jokes, breaks out into song and turn into superheroes with the snap of fingers in any emergency situation.
Joining this team means you are part of the family and we are looking to hire YOU.
Our ideal candidate would be a veterinarian who thrives in a fast pace environment. Someone who is comfortable in urgent care and emergency situations, but also enjoys wellness reviews with their patients. They display not only an excellent standard of patient care but have a high standard of customer service that they bring to the table. They are eager to teach our clients and our team and have a growth mindset they can lend to the hospital and its culture. We are looking for someone who likes to have fun, but knows when to get down to business.
If you are looking for a change or a new opportunity, we would love to chat. Our hospital offers a competitive salary, production, bonuses, and other benefits that would appeal to any future candidate.
