Seeking Georgia-certified (or in process of being GA certified)veterinary technician to assist in busy, "non-corporate mindset" animal hospital. Our employees pride themselves in helping one another and supporting each other in performance of duties (without in-fighting that we hear occurs in other clinics). Employees are required to work on weekends and, for sake of animal care during some holidays. Seeking person with good work ethic (punctual and reliable to perform duties when scheduled) to join our team. Must be willing to take instruction from veterinarian on animal treatments and handling -- as well as mentor or train assistants when requested.
Respectful personal communication skills are essential.
Physical requirements include but not limited to ability to stand (for hours), kneel squat, bend, use of both hands for animal handling/holding, and mental/visual acuity throughout workday. Ability to lift up to 45 pounds is also required.
