South Fulton Pet Care is looking for an exceptional Veterinary technicians or assistant for our small animal practice. Veterinary Assistants/Technicians are essential for their direct roles in assisting the veterinarian for the care of our pet patients. It is our duty to ensure that from the time parents drop their pets off with us, they are cared for and treated as if they were our own. Maintaining that trust from our pet parents ensures that we are able to effectively assist in maintaining happy, healthy babies!

Veterinary Nursing Duties and Responsibilities:

• Greet clients and obtain current contact information and pet medical histories.
•  Bring animals back to the exam room and perform an initial evaluation of their health.
• Provide assistance to the veterinarian during examinations, surgeries, and other
  procedures.
• Review and explain treatment estimates with clients.
• Handle basic care duties, such as cleaning and dressing wounds, administering
  medication, collecting samples, and checking vitals.
• Assist with diagnostic imaging and lab work, including blood tests, x-rays, running fecal
  samples and ear swabs
• Provide food and water to animals retained more than a day and observe any unusual
  health issues– only if left overnight after daily care. (NO BOARDING)
• Sterilize tools and restock examination, operating rooms, and treatment areas
• Inform and educate families about at-home care for their pets
• Update patient files and handle other administrative duties as necessary
• Maintain cleanliness of all exam rooms, sx suites, radiology and treatment areas
   At the end of the day, walk the clinic and ensure that ALL doors (front and back doors are
  locked)
