Contact: Please submit an online application The College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM) at Long Island University (LIU) in Brookville, New York invites applications from self-directed, motivated individuals to join the LIU Veterinary Pathology team. The position may be filled at a full-time tenure-track Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level.
The Assistant/ Associate/ Full Professor will:
participate actively in the professional (DVM) and graduate academic programs (MS, PhD) of the College of Veterinary Medicine,
teach veterinary pathology courses (General and Systemic Pathology), and participate in the delivery of Veterinary Histology, and Principles of Research courses,
participate in the delivery of a morphologic pathology core clinical year clerkship,
participate in the delivery of integration courses that link morphology, cellular and molecular foundations to conditions commonly encountered in the practice of veterinary medicine,
develop and maintain an internationally recognized extramurally funded research program,
seek collaborations to enhance scholarly activities,
participate in diagnostic services activities offered to affiliated clinics,
provide University and public service through committee work,
engage with agencies, industry, NGOs and communities in addition to professional organizations,
possess communication and interpersonal skills sufficient to work effectively with an increasingly diverse array of students and colleagues.
