Cape Cod Veterinary Specialists (CCVS) is excited to offer a Small Animal Rotating Internship in our dynamic and growing specialty and emergency hospital. Located in beautiful Buzzards Bay and Dennis, MA, we are the only emergency and specialty referral hospital serving Cape Cod and the Islands.
With a team of over 20 specialists across nine disciplines, CCVS is dedicated to providing gold-standard medical care and helping veterinary professionals grow into confident, skilled practitioners.

Broad Exposure: Our internship provides hands-on experience in multiple specialties, including Emergency & Critical Care, Surgery, Internal Medicine, Radiology, Anesthesia, and Cardiology. You’ll work directly with specialists and have primary case responsibility when on the ECC service.
Mentorship: You will have access to board-certified specialists on site across various fields to guide your development. Twice-daily cage-side rounds, a journal club, and weekly mortality and morbidity rounds will foster both clinical expertise and critical thinking.

Internship Highlights
Clinical Responsibilities: You’ll be directly involved in patient care—from conducting exams and ordering diagnostics to prescribing treatments and managing hospitalized patients. You’ll also communicate with clients and referring veterinarians to ensure continuity of care.
Educational Opportunities: CCVS emphasizes continuous learning. In addition to clinical duties, you'll present a lecture on a topic of your choice and participate in our comprehensive education program.

Compensation and Benefits
Competitive Salary: $72,500/year
Flexible Shifts: A combination of days, evenings, and overnights
Support: A critical care specialist is available 7 days a week for consultations
Paid Time Off: 2 weeks of vacation and 1 week of paid CE
Additional Benefits: CE allowance, comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and life insurance
Qualifications:
Must pass NAVLE/PAVE/ECFVG before entering the program
Active license to fully practice in MA.
