The Practice Manager reports directly to the Hospital Owners but works closely with the administrative, clinical, and management teams to support practice operations, customer service, and intervention efforts. The Practice Manager oversees the daily operations at the 3 Wayside hospitals, ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently while enforcing the hospital's policies and regulations. The position mostly consists of administrative duties such as developing strategies to improve clinic and staff operations, handling calls and correspondence, liaising with key clients and suppliers, supervising budgets and timelines, establishing guidelines, and monitoring the progress of all procedures, resolving issues should there be any. The Practice Manager is responsible for analyzing current programs/protocols, helping to find ways to make each hospital more efficient and profitable, and implementing solutions against problem areas. The Practice Manager does not supervise any staff directly, but instead works as part of a management team with each location's hospital manager. It is the Practice Manager’s responsibility to support these hospitals from a business perspective, but this is a high-level position.

Bachelor’s degree preferred
Experience in veterinary operations preferred, with at least 3 years of high-level veterinary management work experience required
Wayside Animal Hospital is a full service mixed animal hospital, with three locations (Jasper, Marble Hill, and a brand new hospital in Ellijay, GA). Established in 1978, the hospital is non-corporate and still owned and managed by a local, practicing veterinarian. The hospital is set apart and known in the area for practicing high-quality medicine, with loyal and appreciative clients. Time is allotted for building client relationships with a focus on client education. The staff is warm and like family, both to coworkers and clients.
